Land Use Projects Set for Hearing

Delta Paving Gravel Pit Conditional Use Permit (CUP) (PLN21-080)

This application is to amend an existing Development Agreement (Resolution No. 99-R-009) for the Delta Paving Gravel Pit. A permit is being pursued to account for an expansion of mining on to an adjoining parcel (Parcel 345510100028), and the addition of a hot mix asphalt plant to the site. Mining, processing, and concrete production were previously permitted (Parcels: 345510202002 & 345503400053). By expanding the operation, Elam Construction will be able to serve the local construction market with quality materials. The allowance of asphalt production on the site will broaden their involvement in the local construction market by allowing them to support nearby paving projects such as those on Highway 92, 65, and 50 surrounding Delta and Orchard City. To allow the production of asphalt, the applicant requests the removal of the Approval Condition No. 9 on the prior Development Agreement, BoCC Resolution No. 99-R-009. Schofield Solar (CUP) (PLN22-119)

This application is for a commercial Solar Facility on approximately 80 +/- acres (Parcels: 345522100014 & 345522100015). The subject property has an existing access from 2000 Road. The applicant is proposing to use the same access for the solar field, which will be located north of the existing homestead. (Current Status: Applicant has completed a Pre-Application Conference with the Planning Department. The applicant was sent a checklist for all items required to process this application under the current Land Use Code)

 Lightfoot Solar (CUP) (PLN22-120)

This application is for a commercial Solar Facility on approximately 100-120 acres (Parcel: 345522100002). The subject property has an existing access from G Road through an easement through Parcel 345515400031 which is owned by Delta County. The property currently consists of an existing homestead and the Starr Nelson Airport. (Current Status: Applicants have completed a Pre-Application Conference with the Planning Department. The applicants have been sent a checklist for all items required to process this application under the current Land Use Code)

Reed Solar (CUP) (PLN22-133)

This application is for a commercial Solar Facility on approximately 40 acres (Parcel: 345522400005) being located on the west half of the parcel. The subject property has an existing access from F Road. The property currently consists of an existing homestead. (Current Status: Applicant has completed a Pre-Application Conference with the Planning Department. The applicant has been sent a checklist for all items required to process this application under the current Land Use Code)
